Dayz How to Use Hand Drill Kit

In this article we'll be showing you how to craft a hand drill kit in Dayz. The tools and items we require are:

Piece of Bark

One Wooden Stick

Knife or Axe

To craft our hand drill we first need to collect our bark and wooden stick. By equipping our knife or axe and approaching a tree with the tool in hand and facing a tree. We need to use the mouse wheel to scroll down the list of options and select either the cut bark off or cut stick off option. Then repeating this step to the option not selected first. Once we have collected our long wooden stick and bark we need to break down our long wooden stick into wooden sticks by equipping our tool into our hand and dragging it over the long wooden stick. Select "split into thirds" option. Now that we have our piece of bark and wooden stick we need to drag one over the other and select the craft hand drill kit from wooden stick and buck option to create a hand drill kit.

Now with the hand your kit crafted we can light our fireplace by equipping it into our hands then looking directly at our fireplace and selecting the ignite by hand your kit option.

Now a couple of things we need to know. The hand drill kit is a one use item, that means we'll have to create multiples of them if we fail to ignite our fire due to weather or wind issues. With only a knife or axe we could have a near infinite amount of ignition sources crafted. This means we can carry one less item for our survival needs. Whether we need to warm our hands or fry up our latest kill for the troops the hand drill kit is our way to enlightenment and full stomachs.
