How to Make a Splint and Fix Broken Legs in DayZ

Dayz is pretty realistic game. Limbs also being part of the realism. Broken legs if left untreated can effect your momvment speed and eventually result in death. The Splint is a medical item in Dayz used to treat broken limbs.

To craft a splint in DayZ, you have to use one of two recipes:

• 1 Bandage + 2 Short Sticks
• 4 Rags + 2 Short Sticks

These two recipes will both produce a single splint. But remember, for the recipe to work, the bandage needs to be entirely unused. Once you have the splint, you can apply it to your broken leg. After setting the bone, you can walk slowly and climb over small obstacles. However, you won’t be able to run or jump until the leg has healed.

To start healing the fracture, you must be at max health, have max blood, and have plenty of energy and hydration. A broken leg with an applied splint heals in aproximately 30 minutes. Once the fracture is healed, the splint will be in the inventory and can be reused again later. If the player cannot carry the splint, it will drop to the ground.
