Sea of Thieves Ship Prices
In Sea of Thieves, ships are often disposable, but since captaincy is a significant aspect of the game, players can own their own ships to sail and maintain. When beginning an Adventure, you can go to My Ships and buy a ship to captain; from there, you can either invite friends to fill out your boat in a Closed Crew or take a risk with an Open Crew. But how much do ships cost to purchase in Sea of Thieves?
Costs to buy ships in Sea of Thieves
The following ship prices are as of Sea of Thieves Season 7 and are subject to change.
- Sloop (up to two players): 250,000 gold
- Brigantine (two to three players): 375,000 gold
- Galleon (four players): 500,000 gold
One way to look at it is that each player on a ship costs 125,000 gold. Gold can only be purchased using in-game currency; real money cannot be used to purchase gold. It is easiest to accumulate gold by finishing voyages as usual and selling loot to Trading Companies. Alternatively, you can swap Doubloons for gold with Larinna of the Bilge Rats. If you have experience playing Sea of Thieves, you shouldn’t have any issues with these ship costs.
