What are Server-based Games?
Server-based games are games you can host your owner server version of the game to play it with your friends online. Now, most games allow you also to mod the server. Modding is actually adding new features or removing features or changing the features to customize your gaming experience with the flavor you like. Speaking of flavor the original version of the game server is called vanilla server which means this is the version that the developer release not touched. Sometimes it gets boring or hard, in the case of dayz, to play the vanilla version. Now of course you don’t have to be tech-savvy to mod your server as for almost every game there is a community of modders.

Squad is a tactical FPS that provides authentic combat experiences through teamwork, constant communication, and gameplay. It bridges the large gap between arcade shooter and military simulation with 100 player battles, combined arms combat, base building, and a great integrated VoIP system.
Squad is pretty comparable to Arma 3, however, the mechanics encourage teamwork by establishing more dependency on the team leader and their critical role to lead his/her squad. Using vehicles, building, and more need the squad leader’s permission in some cases which makes commination in this game is key. Some servers also have a mandatory rule on having a mic. Lastly, Squad is known for its building mechanism. You can plan and build your military bases in cooperation with your commander.
