Grand Theft Auto 4, Red Dead Redemption Remaster Plans Were Quietly dropped, According to a Rumor

In the Red Dead, Grand Theft Auto, and Rockstar gaming communities, Tez2 is well-known. Tez2 is more dependable than a random online user, yet anything that is not directly from the corporation should be treated with caution. Remasters of Grand Theft Auto 4 and Red Dead Redemption 1 were apparently planned a few years ago, according to their credible source who has knowledge of Rockstar’s plans. However, Rockstar is alleged to have abandoned these ideas at some point for an unknown cause.

Tez2 speculates that the response to the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Definitive Edition may have had an impact on this decision, but it’s unclear whether this is supposition on their own behalf or that of their source. Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, and San Andreas were all remastered in this compilation, as many people are aware, however they came with major technical problems. Despite the numerous fixes that have already been issued, Rockstar’s reputation has not improved.

Obviously, this revelation has angered a lot of fans. Remastering Red Dead Redemption to be more like Red Dead Redemption 2 sounds like a certain way to make it a classic. Grand Theft Auto 4 could also fit this description. It should be mentioned, though, that Rockstar is known for developing their games gradually. Crunch hasn’t been avoided in the past due to this, but previous development reports indicate that Grand Theft Auto 6 is doing an excellent job at avoiding crunch.

It is still unclear how future Rockstar remasters will turn out. Its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, is rumored to have multiple remasters planned for the upcoming years; many people had thought at least RDR1 would be one of them. But now, it might come from other Take-Two-affiliated businesses.
