Skull & Bones, an enigmatic pirate game from Ubisoft, is supposed to release in November.

If a reported release date is accurate, Skull & Bones, an often-delayed pirate video game from Ubisoft, may not be far off from setting sail.

Skull and Bones is scheduled to debut on November 8, 2022, according to Aggiornamenti Lumia, a Twitter account that frequently leaks information from Microsoft and Xbox store listings before it is made public. Tom Henderson, a well-known industry leaker, replied to the tweet with a simple green check mark, ostensibly implying he had heard or seen the same material. This added some credence.

The week beginning July 4 is when Ubisoft is allegedly going to “re-reveal” Skull & Bones, according to a report Henderson wrote over the weekend for TryHardGuides. Henderson stated that the developer intends to share some gameplay, the game’s release date, and other as-yet-unknown information.

An announcement is “imminent,” according to Acciornamenti Lumia(opens in new tab), and the Xbox store listings are prepared to go live. It appears that the listings provide information on a number of pre-order goodies, including tokens, an artbook, bonus missions, and more.

Skull & Bones was first revealed in 2017 before going unnoticed for a number of years. It has been as elusive as the Black Pearl. In 2020, Ubisoft said that it was developing a fresh vision for the game and provided a hazy release date of 2022. Our best guess as to what that new vision would look like in the final product is this leak from September 2021. We’ll learn a lot more very soon if today’s leak is accurate.
