Konami’s eFootball Is Steam’s Worse Rated Game

eFootball 2022 is a free-to-play soccer game developed and published by Konami Digital Entertainment. Despite launching on September 29, it already has an “overwhelmingly negative” rating. The self-proclaimed “Hall of Shame” site Steam250, which tracks which games have the worst reviews by calculating the percentage difference, reports that eFootball 2022 sits in the top spot. Out of over 7000 reviews, the game has only some 1600 (or roughly 8%) positive votes as of this writing. Criticism of eFootball 2022 touches on just about every aspect of the game. Some say it “lacks content left and right” (including Fanbyte’s Nicholas Grayson), while others call it a “mobile game.” Then there are those who levied more articulate complaints on things like the game’s engine and lag.

Discord is Now Usable on Xbox Consoles Thanks to Latest Browser Update

Xbox consoles recently received an update introducing Microsoft’s Edge internet browser to the platform. An older version of Edge was previously available, but the new version based on Chromium is significantly more robust and featureful. The intent is to allow Xbox console gamers to be able to tab to the Edge browser for whatever needs they may have mid-game, whether it be guides, tips, or what have you. Notably, Discord can be run from a browser, too.

Xbox users are already testing the limits of how Discord can work within the new Edge browser. The great news is that it works entirely when the Edge browser is open. Users can read and participate in text chat with ease. They can also join voice chat and talk as if they were using Discord through a browser. The bad news is that voice chat doesn’t stay open if the Xbox users tabs back to a game. So while Discord can be used casually, it’s not a replacement or secondary option next to Xbox party chat.

Stadia is Giving Away Premiere Edition for Free With New Game Pre-Orders

Currently, Google Stadia is offering a free Premiere Edition setup with certain game pre-orders over $59.99. The Google Stadia Premiere Edition includes a Stadia controller and a Chromecast Ultra, a bundle that typically runs at $79.99 on its own according to Google’s website. The Stadia Premiere bundle launched at $129.99, and has received price cuts in the time since.

Gamers that have the internet connection speeds to support such a service may want to give it a try with this deal. The Google Stadia Premiere Edition includes a 1 month free Stadia Pro trial, so it will give fans some time to decide whether or not the service is worth the $10 a month. It’s important to keep in mind, however, that the Stadia controller, Chromecast Ultra, and Pro subscription aren’t necessarily a requirement to use the service. Fans can also opt to just play through the Google Chrome browser on a different device using touch or a controller.

One source reportedly told VGC that the new Twisted Metal will be based around a free-to-play model.
