Another free-to-play sequel to The Division is coming, this time for mobile devices.

New shooter series spin-off The Division: Resurgence is available exclusively on mobile devices.

The Division: Resurgence, which was recently revealed by Ubisoft earlier today on July 6, adapts the wildly successful shooter franchise for mobile devices. You’re a member of an elite team ordered to reestablish order in New York City following the chaos of the previous two mainstream Division games; this is still the setup.

The Division: Resurgence continues the tradition of the earlier Division games by focusing mostly on looting and shooting. Third-person combat was demonstrated in the game’s first trailer, so we are aware that it will remain in the new mobile-only spin-off shooter.

In The Division: Resurgence, we’ll be ducking and weaving behind barriers and cover while avoiding enemy fire. Additionally, co-op with other players was confirmed for the next Ubisoft game, demonstrating that it is continuing to adhere to one of the key principles that contributed to the success of the major titles.

There isn’t currently a firm date for The Division: Resurgence’s release. We don’t even know when the game will be released or if there will be any beta testing, so we’ll need to keep an eye out for additional information from Ubisoft in the near future.

It’s important to note that The Division: Heartland was not mentioned in Ubisoft’s release today. You might recall that Ubisoft revealed the spin-off shooter for PC and consoles in 2021 last year, but since then, virtually nothing has been revealed about it. However, Ubisoft is still planning to adapt The Division for the big screen with Jake Gyllenhaal, showing just how committed they are to diversifying the property they have established.
