Skate Sim's official release date is revealed in a new trailer.

Skate Sim's official release date is revealed in a new trailer.

After more than three years of early access and several upgrades, Session: Skate Sim is now ready for its final release. Session, a game created by Crea-ture Studios and revealed as part of Nacon Connect, will end early access this fall and has been given a new video to mark the occasion. Session is only one of the many skating games that have been created since Skate was not included in the prior console generation. The emphasis on grounded and realistic skateboarding mechanics is the game’s key selling point and what distinguishes it from other games in the genre. Session’s gameplay is focused on finding a corner to skate in and doing real tricks that would look amazing in a video montage rather than pursuing enormous combos and performing ridiculous feats. Since it launched in 2019, Crea-skate ture’s sim has been under active development and early access on PC and Xbox Game Preview. It just got one of the biggest improvements ever.

Recently, the upcoming Session made a brief appearance at publisher Nacon’s Connect event to reveal the game’s release date. Session: A clip for Skate Sim’s 1.0 update, which debuts on September 22, shows off the game’s realistic skateboarding set to some skate-punk music. The in-game recording options, which include a variety of traditional skate montage effects like fish-eye lenses and blinding camera lights, appear to have been used to create Session’s latest video.

Session: Skate Sim’s 1.0 release comes after other significant developments in the skateboarding video game industry. The development team for EA’s Skate resurrection recently released a new trailer and acknowledged that they are “still working on it.” Fans of the genre have praised the clip, and many are eager to go back on their virtual skateboards. Recent releases like OlliOlli World, which adds a 2D twist to skateboarding games, and Skater XL, another major entry in the extreme sports category, have contributed to the recent resurrection of skateboarding video games.

Session currently has a “Very Positive” review score on Steam and is offering a tiny discount to those who wish to purchase it before the price goes up on September 22. Numerous player reviews praise the game’s challenging control structure and resemblance to actual skateboarding. Session: Skate Sim does not include an online multiplayer element, which many fans would like to see included to the game, unlike Skater XL and the impending Skate relaunch. Session still seems to be checking off all the necessary skating boxes, though.
