New Rhapsody character revealed in Apex Legends mobile

Since its May launch, Apex Legends Mobile has released a barrage of content to keep users interested and content. As Season 1 came to an end, Respawn Entertainment released a hype trailer introducing the newest Legend, Rhapsody, and detailing when Season 2 would be released for the Apex Legends mobile app. Since its May premiere, Apex Legends Mobile has not seen a shortfall of updates. It was immediately clear that this would be more than just an empty port with all the enhancements that fans of the console versions had been demanding once it appeared on mobile platforms. The newest season will add another exclusive Legend to the roster, and the port also debuted with a mobile-only Legend named Fade.

The debut trailer provides some background information on the newest Legend, Rhapsody, as well as a sneak peek at some of her possible skills. Aside from her name being a nod to classical Greek epic literature, her skill set appears to prominently emphasize the musical aspect of her name and may have been inspired by Lifeline’s. She takes a tiny assistance drone with her that may be seen erecting a wall that can deflect incoming fire, much like Newcastle’s. While her group is encircled by sound waves, a potential capacity to empower comrades is also demonstrated, however there is no explanation of what the buff would do.

Rhapsody will join in the fight on July 12 when the newest Season debuts, bringing the total number of playable characters to 12. The game will also have a new map called Pythas Block 0, which is also hinted to in the teaser. The new Apex map’s playable modes are not mentioned in the trailer, though. When it appeared out of nowhere in February 2019, Apex Legends quickly became the battle royale scene’s biggest hit. Even though it wasn’t the Titanfall sequel that many were anticipating for, fans of the franchise liked the nods to the adored Titanfall series that the game made. By offering distinctive content that is different from the original game, Apex Legends Mobile has taken a similar route and altered the scope of mobile ports.

In contrast, console and PC users have not been too happy with Apex Legends Mobile despite how much praise it has received. Although the mobile scene will benefit greatly from the addition of several features that fans have been requesting, non-mobile players are not happy with Apex Legends Mobile’s exclusive features.

Android and iOS users may now download Apex Legends Mobile.
